Kid Zoom – This city will eat me alive

Kid Zoom is hands down one of the most talented painters we have ever met. Wether it’s Tags, throwups, characters, photo realistic style…. This Kid has everything on lock.

Originally from Perth, Ian “Kid Zoom” Strange now lives and works in New York City where he is about to open his debut US solo show called “This city will eat me alive” (awesome photo of the phrase painted on top of a NYC building here). We don’t normally post too much overseas action, however Kid Zoom is one of the rare exceptions we like to make to showcase how aussie painters are making a name for themselves overseas. See below for the show flyer and a painting progress shot.

Microcosm sneak peek

Tomorrow night is the opening of “Microcosm” at Lo-Fi Collective in Sydney. A group show of new work and installations by Beastman, Phibs, Max Berry & Creepy. The foursome will be showing a new set of limited edition prints, wood installations and a giant wall painting that is sure to be a cracker.

We dropped by their studio to get some sneaky pics of the work and even got sent some progress shots of the wall. Have a squiz at some brand new work from Sydney (and Perth’s) finest.
