Kind Of presents a Tom Waits show

“Since the beginning of kind of — we have been listening to Tom Waits during our hanging, painting and curating nights. Some of those nights would turn into mornings which would occasionally turn into days. To commemorate those nights — mornings — days we are having a Tom Waits inspired exhibition.
“I will always relate Tom Waits’ music to the times I’ve spent working here with my friends.” — Faz”

Simon Degroot: Maintain Pleasure Personally

It’s been a while since we have heard anything from Simon Degroot and we were pleasantly surprised to receive an email with his new collection of work. To us, mostly because we haven’t seen Simon’s work in a while, this is a big step forward and a change in direction. A change that we are 100% behind. This new work uses mixed media, whilst also using elements of his past work. Love it…

“Maintain Pleasure Personally” opens 30th June 2012, 4-6pm at Blank Space gallery. More details below, or at his website here.

Photo recap: Mark Alsweiler at House of Bricks

Mark Alsweiler recently opened his solo show “Wild Wood” at House of Bricks in Melbourne. This new body of work is, as expected, amazing. From his small scale minimal pieces to the large feature painting, this new work doesn’t dissapoint. Our favourite pieces would definitely have to be the hand carved man and woman sculptures. See more below or over at Mark’s website here.
