Video: Kid Zoom “Suburban” at the National Gallery of Victoria – Melbourne

After Cockatoo Island (Outpost Festival), alot of people would have been asking themselves, “How is Kid Zoom (also known as Ian Strange) going to top that?”. Well, it looks like he has answered that with the announcement of his next solo exhibition, at The National Gallery of Victoria! This is a giant leap for the Perth raised, New York based artist, and something we’ll be keeping our eyes on up until the opening. Check out this video teaser below and stay tuned to his website here.

Opening: Kyle Hughes-Odgers “Repetitive Sequences” at Walls Gallery – Amsterdam

KLERKX ART AGENCY & WALLS GALLERY AMSTERDAM PRESENT:

KYLE HUGHES-ODGERS
REPETITIVE SEQUENCES.

OPENING JULY 5. 20-23pm RUNNING THROUGH 14 JULY.

“Kyle Hughes-Odgers could be called an independent artist, street artist, illustrator or installation artist. But the artist himself does not like this parochialism. Counts for him that he can tell his stories in any medium. Hughes-Odgers combines abstract and figurative elements in his work. He has a passion for folklore, texture and authenticity, which is clearly reflected in his work. Life and death are recurring themes, as well as a fascination with repetitive pattern and mark making and the use of small tragicomic figures”
