Photos: Bootleg Mad Max show at Sydney Opera House – Sydney

As a part of the Graphic Festival at The Sydney Opera House, both The Opening Hours and Good Space were invited to curate and host a group show, inspired by the George Miller film Mad Max Fury Road.

We commissioned works by Paris based ILK, and local artists Georgia Hill, Chris Yee, James Jirat Patradoon and Maddy Young, which were on show for one day only inside the Opera House. Check out the full set of photos below.

Now that the dust (and sunburns) have settled from Wonderwalls, we can share some of the action from another amazing weekend. A huge thank you to our major sponsors for all the support and all the paint! Thank you to everyone that helped and also the artists for taking time out of the lives to add more beautiful murals to Wollongong City.

We will be bringing you more posts from the various parts of the weekend, but we thought we’d kick off with all of the finished murals painted for this year’s Wonderwalls in Wollongong, 2015!

Video: Elliott ‘Numskull’ Routledge for FODI at The Opera House – Sydney

Co-Founder of The Opening Hours, artist Elliott Routledge (or Numskull as he’s been known for a long time now) has recently collaborated with The Opera House for The Festival of Dangerous Ideas in Sydney.

“The Festival of Dangerous Ideas (FODI) is an annual event that brings leading thinkers and culture creators from around the world to the Sydney Opera House stages and online to discuss and debate the important ideas of our time.

Speakers at the festival are asked to present their ideas to create lively and thought-provoking discussions. Our aim is for audiences to leave each session having experienced the excitement of ideas brought to life, and with new food for thought.”
