Photos: ‘It’s All Around You’ by Beastman at Deus Temple of Enthusiasm, Bali

After relocating to Canggu, Bali in June of this year, Beastman (Bradley Eastman) created a series of new paintings. The new colourful and geometric works were heavily inspired by his new surroundings – the landscape, people, industry, customs and cultures. He was invited to exhibit the paintings at the Deus Temple of Enthusiasm in Canggu in September, here are some photos of the exhibition and paintings.

Photos: ‘The Screaming Hand art show’ at Ambush Gallery – Sydney

The Screaming Hand art show recently opened at Ambush Gallery in Sydney, so we braved the rain and checked out this amazing (and large!) collection of both old and new original art, all based on the famous Jim Phillips icon, The Screaming Hand!

The show, curated by Eddie Zammit and Produced by Santa Cruz AUS, was really well presented and jam packed full of amazing work by both local and international artists. Too many to name… A great opportunity for the local artists to be given free reign over a classic image, plus an honour for most to have their work presented next to some of the world’s most renown (skate related) artists such as Mark Gonzales, Steve Olson, Mike Giant, Thomas Campbell, Andy Jenkins and many many more including original artwork by the creator himself, Jim Phillips.

With multiple rooms (our favourite was the video / process room), this show is definitely one not to miss, and make sure you don’t because it’s only open for a short amount of time!

Find out all the details here. (All photos below by Enzo Amato) Click below for the full set of photos…

IT’S ALL AROUND YOU (Itulah Semuanya Sekeliling Anda)

An exhibition of new paintings by Beastman

After relocating to Canggu from Sydney, this exhibition is the artist’s own reflection of the surrounding landscape, people, industry, customs and cultures. As part of an ongoing body of artwork, these colourful, geometric paintings further expand the artist’s distinctive visual language and design aesthetic, whilst exploring ideas and themes of potential futures, abstract landscapes, growth patterns, balance, new lifeforms and human interaction with the elements of nature.

Opening – Friday 25th September 2015 at 7pm

Opening: ‘Until Next Time…” final show at The Tate Gallery – Sydney

We were deeply saddened by the news of The Tate Gallery’s closing…

It’s been a gallery close to our hearts, and a space that in it’s time, has hosted an incredible mix of both world renown artists, and young emerging artists. All without rent or commission. Something which is so unique in the art world.

We’re excited to be helping The Tate Gallery team with one last show. So we’ve gathered as many available artists on short notice as possible to curate one last group show.

Photos: Wonderwalls Port Adelaide 2015

Firstly, we’d like to thank Joel Moore for directing the biggest Wonderwalls Festival to date, and of course the City of Port Adelaide & Renewal SA for inviting us to bring Wonderwalls to their city, Ironlak, Verb Syndicate and all of our other sponsors, supporters and volunteers. We’d like to also thank the people of Port Adelaide for allowing us into their city to paint both small and (VERY) large murals, which will hopefully stay forever.

Wonderwalls Port Adelaide saw artists from all parts of the world, all over Australia and locally from around the Adelaide region, converge on the Port to decorate and reinvigorate it’s walls. It was an amazing week which hosted an exhibition, an artist panel discussion and of course a series of murals throughout Port Adelaide. Two of which are amongst the biggest murals in the whole country (painted by Etam Cru and Askew One/Elliot Francis Stewart).

Stay tuned for the video recap, however in the meantime click below for the full set of photos. You can also find a great photo recap by photographer Luke Shirlaw, here.

Wonderwalls Port Adelaide 2015

We are so excited to be presenting the next instalment of WONDERWALLS in 2015! This time, we’re hosting a heap of great local and international artists in Port Adelaide, alongside Renewal SA, together with City of Port Adelaide Enfield and Ironlak.

For more info, please see below or visit the website wonderwallsfestival.com

Wonderwalls Port Adelaide 2015

International street artists Sainer and Bezt of Etam Cru (Poland), Askew One and Elliot Francis Stewart (NZ) will headline a stellar line-up of local, national and international artists who will transform Port Adelaide into a giant, interactive canvas as part of the Wonderwalls festival in January.

Presented by Renewal SA and The Hours, together with City of Port Adelaide Enfield and Ironlak, Wonderwalls the free three day street art festival will run from January 23rd-25th with large scale murals, artist talks and entertainment.

The festival kicks off on Friday night with an official launch party at the recently upgraded Flour Shed at Hart’s Mill. The free event includes live mural painting, guest DJ’s and food trucks and provides an opportunity for festival-goers to meet the artists and purchase exhibition works.

On Saturday, budding photographers can bring their cameras and join one of the two free Canon photo tours to learn professional tips on how to capture the creation of the large scale murals amongst Port Adelaide’s festival atmosphere, followed by a laneway street party on Saturday night which will feature food and drink offerings from local traders Mayfair Bakery and Red Lime Shack.

Artist talks, an art exhibition in the Flour Shed and a walking tour with Verb Syndicate, are presented across the weekend as the large scale works take shape.

All events are free to attend.
