Melbourne based Drewfunk recently opened his new exhibition of paintings at Paradise Hills Gallery in Richmond. This collection of work was a big step forward for Drew. Compared to his last exhibition, which was predominantly neat line-work illustration, this new work stands out with a warm palette and boasts the fact that Drewfunk is a true master painter. Focusing again on animals, the subjects are rendered perfectly and have all been framed in a typical Drewfunk background/foreground. Fat caps and precise movements. Check out some photos below.

Last Friday was the 4th birthday of The Oxford Art Factory. An iconic club that has been host to many artists over the years. Ben Frost, Kill Pixie, Numskull, Beastman, Trent Whitehead, Des, Brett Chan and many more.
To celebrate their 4th birthday, OAF flew in Melbourne’s own Drewfunk to adorn the gallery wall with his iconic style. Check out some photos below by Bill Chen & Maja Baska.

Brad from [weAREtheIMAGEmakers] has yet again pulled together a stellar lineup of artists for the next installment of 12×12, including Daek / Drewfunk / Ears / Ed Woodley / Gary Seaman / Gimiks Born / Mark Alsweiler / Rone / Sean Morris / Shannon Cress / Shida / Troy Archer. If you haven’t heard, or been to a 12×12, it’s a simple idea that showcases 12 Australian artists, 12 artworks each, 12 x 12 inches.
This time around, the show will only be stopping in Sydney (as opposed to the usual Melbourne opening), at aMBUSH Gallery Friday 22 July.
The other interesting aspect of this 12×12 is that ALL artworks will also be available to purchase from an online catalogue launching at 12pm Saturday 23 July.
Stay tuned for some exclusive interviews with some of the 12×12 artists…
