Now that the dust (and sunburns) have settled from Wonderwalls, we can share some of the action from another amazing weekend. A huge thank you to our major sponsors for all the support and all the paint! Thank you to everyone that helped and also the artists for taking time out of the lives to add more beautiful murals to Wollongong City.

We will be bringing you more posts from the various parts of the weekend, but we thought we’d kick off with all of the finished murals painted for this year’s Wonderwalls in Wollongong, 2015!

Opening: Artesian4 group show – North Sydney

Artesian4 is pleased to announce their first art show: ‘Urban Art – Parked!’. This show will feature street, pop and urban artists, open free to the public in an unorthodox ‘gallery’: Wilson Parking’s Ward Street car park in North Sydney. A diverse range of artists has been selected for this exhibition, including Johnny Romeo, Elliott ‘Numskull’ Routledge, Phibs, CAMO, Karen Farmer, Neil Tomkins, Peque VRS, ZOEZO, Tom Ferson and Jenna ‘YoNa’ Bloom.

This is the first in a series of shows, both standalone and in conjunction with art festival events, to be held in and around the Sydney CBD over the next year. Funds raised at the event (from donations and a portion of sales) will be donated to Father Chris Riley’s Youth Off The Streets.

Urban Art – Parked! will be open to the public from 12noon to 5pm on Saturday 6 June and from 10am to 2pm on Sunday 7 June.

A number of art works will be available for sale and silent auction, commission-free. If you are interested in attending or getting involved, please contact info@bigpic.com.au or follow us on Facebook or Twitter to stay in the loop.

Opening: ‘Until Next Time…” final show at The Tate Gallery – Sydney

We were deeply saddened by the news of The Tate Gallery’s closing…

It’s been a gallery close to our hearts, and a space that in it’s time, has hosted an incredible mix of both world renown artists, and young emerging artists. All without rent or commission. Something which is so unique in the art world.

We’re excited to be helping The Tate Gallery team with one last show. So we’ve gathered as many available artists on short notice as possible to curate one last group show.

‘Until Next Time…’ group show
Where: The Tate Gallery, Glebe
Opening Hours: Wednesday 4th March, 6pm onwards
