The circle is a powerful symbolic form that holds a vast array of different associations throughout visual culture. This universal shape embodies our physical reality, from minute microscopic structures like the atom to the grandiose scale of the planetary giants. The circle has also been utilized to help understand and define our inner worlds as a symbol of balance and wholeness in psychological and spiritual practices. For ëWholeí we have asked a variety of artists from different backgrounds and stylistic approaches to create a work using this motif.

Vexta – “In Between Worlds”

Current Sydney resident Vexta has been busy creating a new body of work she’s called “In Between Worlds”. It opens this Thursday night at Edwina Corlette Gallery in Brisbane. This new series has us excited, so if you’re in QLD get down and check out the show before it dissapears…
