The circle is a powerful symbolic form that holds a vast array of different associations throughout visual culture. This universal shape embodies our physical reality, from minute microscopic structures like the atom to the grandiose scale of the planetary giants. The circle has also been utilized to help understand and define our inner worlds as a symbol of balance and wholeness in psychological and spiritual practices. For ëWholeí we have asked a variety of artists from different backgrounds and stylistic approaches to create a work using this motif.

His last show at Backwoods, ‘Down Low Too Slow’ was a huge success, so we are really excited to see this new collection of work. In between painting a bunch of large scale outdoor walls, Reka has been uber busy in the studio, creating these new works on canvas and old, used and rusted spraycans.

7. Dangerfork is one of the newest print stores to appear on the scene, with their release by PRIZM catching our eye. Prizm hardly ever releases new artwork so this is a rare opportunity. Click here.
