Tonight is the opening of “Delayed Reactions”. A kind of retrospective…
Each member of the DRS crew has either moved on from traditional graffiti, stuck with it, or become more addicted to vandalism. This exhibition shows where each member is at in their creative career. An interesting concept, as most graffiti shows are based around pieces, tags, throwups and characters. This collection of work shows that DRS are completely different to most graffiti crews. When you see the work tonight, you will see how different each artist is. Check out the photos we snapped from last night’s setup.
Last week, a wall that Teazer, Numskull and Roach had painted in Camperdown, was painted over by someone (owners, real estate agents, council….?) without the artists knowing. This was the response from an unknown person. It made our day. We’re not sure which one we like best…

Tomorrow night at Lo-Fi Collective (Thursday 21st April) is the opening of Back Burners, a group show curated by Sydney’s Warefare crew. A show bringing together some of Australia’s most prolific graffiti artists to display their hand painted denim jackets, a historic graffiti tradition that dates back to the late 70s and early 80s. See the flyer for more details and a full line up.
There are a bunch of really good exhibitions going on in Melbourne this week and next. Check below for all the info. We’ll be making the journey down for next Friday, so expect some photos after our return.
Thanks to everyone who came down to Lo-Fi last week for the opening of “Don’t Go Into the Attic”. A group show curated by Marty Routledge. There are a bunch of photos and the new dates for this month’s shows (Ears, Andrew Kidman and Yone). Check it out.
Thanks to everyone who came to the Scratching the Surface event at the MCA last week. The wall looked amazing, and the “live painting” was even better… Check out the video below:
Also Stupid Krap have released a limited edition print of the wall painted for the event. There are only 25 prints available at $150 each, so get in quick.
