Semi Permanent has just announced the first release of speakers for their 2014 conference and it’s a amazing/eclectic mix of super-human creatives including Tony Hawk, Mr Brainwash, Corbin Harris, Tara McPherson and many more. Tomorrow night in Brisbane is the ‘Short Stay’ exhibition by Mild Manners Gallery, marking the culmination of a short term residency program that included Melbourne’s Ghostpatrol and Miso, Perth based Sean Morris and Brisbane publisher Small House Books. Each artist is showing new material and launching new publications by ‘Mild Material’ small run publication arm by Mild Manners and Small House Books.

Opening next Friday at the Doomsday Store space in Fitzroy, ‘Deeds, Not Words’ is the latest project by Mild Manners as part of the Semi-Permanent Melbourne program. Featuring a host of photographers from here and abroad, including the likes of Ed Templeton, Mike O’Meally and Peter Sutherland and a host more, it’ll be well worth a look if you are be in town.
So, we thought as a little surprise to add to our Semi Permanent experience, we’d host a day at The Projects in Marrickville.
That’s TOMORROW. In association with Semi Permanent and One Day Crew, tomorrow (26th May) we’ll be hosting a day of music, drinks and live painting by some of Sydney’s best. Numskull, Beastman, Jumbo, Scott Marsh, Phibs and Skount (all the way from Amsterdam) will be collaborating on the carpark wall all day from 11am. Come down, say hi and enjoy the Autmun sunshine!
